BlackBerry Smartphones Should Use Android: 10 Reasons Why

Research In Motion finds itself in a dangerous position. With the BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone carrying the RIM banner into the latter part of 2010, RIM needs to regain some of its lost presence in the mobile market. But the BlackBerry Torch doesn't seem like a good candidate to take on devices like Apple's iPhone or the Motorola Droid X. And BlackBerry OS 6, the operating system that was supposed to put the BlackBerry OS on an even playing field with iOS and Android, lacks several features that would make it a viable competitor. That's precisely why RIM should consider deploying Android. It doesn't have to totally eliminate BlackBerry OS 6 (in fact, that would be a bad idea), but it should consider putting Android on at least one of its phones.
